AC Shadows Introduces Unexpected AoT Event for Holiday Season
In a surprising collaboration that challenges usual expectations, the game developer has revealed an in-game crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, providing complimentary additional story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Questline Uncovered
According to the authorized release, "A strange meeting leads characters Naoe and Yasuke into a new quest, where hints of prohibited practices and terrifying changes resonate through the obscurity." The narrative presents a "unusually dressed woman named Ada" who assigns the characters with journeying into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to save her ally from a secret cult.
The questline centers on "bizarre tests and a terrifying foe" and is available to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Iconic Settings and Changes
The preview highlights the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was formerly where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through ages. The preview ends with a powerful scene showing a character, likely the prisoner, transforming into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Players who accomplish the adventure will receive an unique katana alongside numerous artifacts concealed throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also includes purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
